Training for Teachers
Compassionate Courage offers training for K-12 and higher education teachers whose goal is to prepare their students to become more inclusive, culturally competent and compassionate in the context of conflict, especially identity-based conflicts. We are happy to work with a group of teachers or with an institution. In addition, we offer support to teachers and schools in developing customized curriculum in Conflict Resolution, DEI, and Compassionate Courage. Our first collaboration is with Givat Haviva International School in Israel that offers an International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. As a residential school, the international student body is diverse in religions, languages, cultures, gender and more. Their current program on Profound Kindness aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. Our pilot collaboration (December 2021 - May 2022) will support their existing curriculum by strengthening the conflict resolution lens to Profound Kindness.
